The Trail
The Trail, by Kongregate, is a free-to-play simulation and crafting mobile game that's available on both Android and iOS platforms. The game was created by the famous Fable creator, Peter Molyneux.
The game features an adventurer that is traveling through a real trail to reach Eden Falls, and he would need to live and survive with what the land is giving by making tools, clothes, and food.
When you start the game, you will see yourself left in the middle of a plot of land to do whatever you want. The game assigns you missions from the get-go and gives you with the important info as you follow the trail to Eden Falls.
You will obtain crafting blueprints as you finish “quests” walking along the path to Eden Falls. You can make tools like slingshots and axes that you can use to hunt animals and harvest trees. You can also make clothes and other items that you can sell to other actual players from your harvested materials.
Camps in the game will allow you to get your rewards from various quests, create other items and communicate with other players through trading aside from just greeting them as you pass them by along your journey. Meanwhile, the game's crafting system is very easy. The blueprints you have collected as you level up will allow you to make items as soon as your reach camps.
While the game begins as a survival experience during your journey, the gameplay changes drastically once you have reached your destination. Instead of just trying to survive the journey, you are now on a mission to improve the town that you are in.
The Trail becomes a real community-like simulation game where you need to think properly what town you’ll be entering. As part of the “community,” you’ll also need to consider what sort of service/contribution you’ll be making to help your community.
