Spotify
Spotify is the popular online music service that allows you to play songs from a library that features over 20 million tracks, build playlists, and take listening recommendations. There's an ad-supported free listening option that lets you play any artist collection or playlist in shuffle mode, but you cannot play a song on demand. Spotify also offers Premium family plans where you can just pay $5 for every additional household member you'd like to add to your account.
Upgrading to a Spotify Premium account has many benefits, too. You're treated to commercial-free listening, offline playback, unlimited song skips, and high-bit-rate streams.
The app's interface highlights a smooth, dark color design, and a panel-driven layout that gives it a breeze to scan different genres, which include Decades, Rock, Urban, and Pop Culture. There are also a few niche stations available.
Apart from genre-based stations, Spotify lets you create custom radio stations from any album view: track, artist, album, or playlist. Simply tap a song and the radio icon to start streaming similar tunes.
Spotify uses their users' Facebook networks to present their contacts' playlists. Aside from being able to subscribe to playlists, premium account holders can also download them.
Spotify is better than ever and continues to be one of most favorite mobile streaming music services by millions. The free version features tons of music, collaborative playlists, and lyrics. While premium version adds a new Running feature, better audio quality, and offline listening.
